19:00 – concert with music for piano by persecuted, jewish composers with works by Victor Urbancic, Szymon Laks, Gideon Klein, Paul Hermann, Erwin Schulhoff, Mieczyslaw Weinberg,  Mischa Hillesum, Leo Smit, Dick Kattenburg and Nico Richter

Victor Urbancic was director of the Graz’ Conservatory until de nazi’s fired him in 1936, being married with a jewish woman. The family emigrated to Iceland. His daughter Sibyl Urbancic returned to Austria later and will be present at this concert

THIS CONCERT WAS ORIGINALLY PLANNED FOR APRIL 2020 BUT HAD TO BE POSTPONED BECAUSE OF THE CORONA VIRUS

IT HAS BEEN POSTPONED AGAIN DUE TO THE NEW LOCKDOWN IN AUSTRIA DURING THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER
